Experience Nirvana

Feeling a little overwhelmed? Take 20 minutes to focus on your well-being and reap the benefits! These guided imagery sessions may help decrease tension and increase concentration. Regular relaxation sessions can yield long-term health benefits and reduce symptoms caused by stress and anxiety. Just close your eyes...listen...relax.
 

Spring 2012 Sessions:  February 7th - April 26th

Evening Nirvana on Tuesdays, 5:00 - 5:20 PM                                                                                                                                     

Noontime Nirvana on Wednesdays, 12:30 - 12:50 PM                                                                                                                   Afternoon Nirvana on Thursdays, 3:30 - 3:50 PM  

*No Sessions will be held on 2/22 or 2/29



  What Should I Expect? 
When you enter the Chapel, you will be greeted by a Nirvana Facilitator who will ask you to sign in.  You are free to sit wherever you fee comfortable.  A limited number of zafu cushions are available if you would like to sit or lay on the floor.  Feel free to bring your own pillow or mat if you choose.  Sometimes the Chapel can be cool, so you may want to bring a sweater or everyone is seated the Facilitator will play guided imagery CD.  All you need to do is listen and relax!
*During the Noontime sessions on Wednesdays, a licensed, mindfulness-meditation teacher will guide participants through the meditation process.   If you prefer a live person to an audio CD, then you should check out these sessions!

Are you eager to incorporate The Nirvana Sessions into your routine?  Would you like to reward yourself for your efforts?  Enroll in Club Nirvana!  This incentive program is designed to help Nirvana participants remain accountable to their personal goal of practicing stress-reducing techniques on a regular basis.  For each Session you attend, earn a point.  As you accumulate  points, you can redeem them for prizes!  To register, click here.  This incentive program is currently available for students only.
