Feeling a little overwhelmed? Take 20 minutes to focus on your wellbeing and reap the benefits! These guided imagery sessions may help decrease tension and increase concentration. Regular relaxation sessions can yield long-term health benefits and reduce symptoms caused by stress and anxiety. Just close your eyes...listen...relax.
The Nirvana Sessions are offered three times per week beginning September 8th in the RMC Chapel
What Should I Expect? When you enter the Chapel, you will be greeted by a Nirvana Facilitator who will ask you to sign in. You are free to sit wherever you feel comfortable. A limited number of zafu cushions are available if you would like to sit or lay on the floor. Feel free to bring your own pillow or mat if you choose. Sometimes the Chapel can be cool, so you may want to bring a sweater or jacket. Be sure to silence your cell phones, in addition to your mind!
Once everyone is seated, the Facilitator will play a guided imagery CD. All you need to do is listen and relax!
*During the sessions at noon on Wednesdays, a licensed mindfulness meditation teacher will guide participants through the meditation process. If you prefer a “live” person to an audio CD, then you should check out these sessions!

Pick up your own set of Breathing Beads! Regular reflection and meditation is a powerful way to reduce physical pain caused by distress, as well as to boost concentration and energy. On the days that you can’t attend one of the scheduled Nirvana Sessions, take a few minutes to practice on your own with these beads.
